N.V. Paul Bara Champagne Grand Cru Grand Rosé 375ml

$29.99
N.V. Paul Bara Champagne Grand Cru Grand Rosé 375ml
This is the last call for this excellent little bottle of Rose Champagne. The Rose from Paul Bara is outstanding and so fun in this half-bottle format. A beautiful sparkler made with all Grand Cru fruit, this has long been a favorite among our clients and is one of the best buys for Rose Champagne. It is a beautiful way to start off a meal or when you need a few glasses, and at this pricing, it is an exceptional buy. We have a few cases left, and these are our last bottles of this great rose buy, so don't miss them!

Paul Bara's Grand Rose is excellent Champagne sourced from 100% grand cru fruit from Bouzy. This is fresh and forward, with high energy and complexity that keeps one drawn in. A blend of 70% Pinot Noir, 18% Chardonnay and 12% Bouzy Rouge made from Pinot Noir (Which they also bottle separately) it shows an abundance of pinpoint bubbles that mousse up softly on the palate with delicious red fruits of wild strawberries and raspberries. It is not overly sweet, which can sometimes be a drawback to rose Champagne. It has an underlying chalky minerality and a very precise refreshing citrus-like acidity that brings excellent balance to the party. This is a hard-to-find format for this Champagne, and these are some of the only bottles available right now. A great size for the start of a meal or a few appetizers on the weekend from one of Bouzy's top growers, and we have low pricing here today.

Antonio Galloni 91 points! " The NV Brut Grand Rosé is ethereal and nicely lifted, yet with plenty of punch to balance it all. The Bara Rosé is a bit quirky, but it has plenty of charm. I would prefer to drink this aperitif-style Rosé over the next few years, as it is a bit fleeting. Disgorged: May, 2021."

Burghound 91 points! "Oeil de perdrix color. A cool nose is fruity but not sweet with its array of strawberry, raspberry and whiffs of cherry and yeast. There is good effervescence to the delicious and nicely complex flavors that terminate in an attractively dry, clean and sneaky long finish despite the presence of a touch of youthful austerity. This is really quite a nice rosé and in much the same vein as the Réserve it's not refined but there is plenty of character. (Drink starting 2019)"
