2019 Schiopetto Collio Friulano M

$69.99
2019 Schiopetto Collio Friulano M
One of the top White wines from Collio the M Cuvee or Il Mario, as it is sometimes called at the Estate, is the ultimate wine from Schiopetto, one of the great addresses of the region. Named after the founder of Schiopetto, the M comes from the best Friulano vines the property owns, planted in 1954 and co-planted with a few vines of Riesling, which equates to 5% of the blend. This Tete de Cuvee sees 100% tank allowing the wine to retain the freshness and transparency of the fruit and minerality. The M is only produced in the best vintages, is made dry, and has intensity, elegance, and purity that rival some of the best white wines in the world. 2019 is another knock-out vintage for this Cuvee, and right now, we have the only bottles of '19 available in the USA, and it is not a bottle to miss.

James suckling 97 points! "Lots of peach-pit, stone, sliced-apple, acacia and citrus aromas follow through to a full body with lovely polish and intensity. Lots of flint and stone. Very intense and steely. Gun metal. Dry finish. Delicious now, but will age very well in the future. Be patient. Needs two or three years to show its true self."
