This is a fantastic Pinot Noir value from California's Anderson Valley. Champ de Reves label will soon be merged into the Copain winery production; thus, the remaining stock in the bottle needed to be moved. We just tasted this wine today. And were duly impressed at the quality it delivers for $19.99. On the nose, there is a nice amount of red fruit that shows through, but surprisingly black fruits and cola notes as well, which at first led us to believe this was going to be a cloying and weighty wine. However, on the palate, it is very energetic with tart cherry and dusty minerality backed by an elegant richness with excellent cut and focus. There's high energy here and the right amount of acid to brighten up the fruit. The extra bottle age makes this very enjoyable now, and that is a perfect accompaniment for a casual night at home, holiday parties, or the ideal cellar saver. We also have had some lovely customer feedback on this wine don't miss out!
