The Domaine is operated by a father-in-law and son-in-law duo, working sustainably with a terroir-centric approach to their winemaking. One of the critical aspects of these wines is always ensuring the vineyard expression comes through, which is vital for a highly regarded vineyard like Beaux Monts. The Domaine vines in the Beaux Monts vineyard are over 80 years old, harvested by hand, and made with the old-school Burgundian approach that we don't see as much anymore, featuring a light extraction, natural yeast fermentation, and never more than 1/3 new oak. It is a very classically styled Red Burgundy and is stunning in 2020, showing an excellent balance of power and elegance.
