1982 Château Carbonnieux

$99.99
1982 Château Carbonnieux
We have a case of 1982 Château Carbonnieux in excellent condition (pictured above). This estate was established in the 13th century, spanning 92 hectares in the Pessac-Léognan appellation, with vineyards split between red and white varietals. The Perrin family, owners since 1956, have been instrumental in maintaining the estate's reputation for producing elegant, balanced wines. The 1982 vintage is an exceptional example and one of the best that has ever been made here, even outperforming some of the more modern examples from the estate. 1982 benefited from ideal weather conditions that yielded ripe, concentrated fruit as one of the best vintages of all time for Bordeaux. Winemaking at Carbonnieux involved traditional methods, with a standard fermentation in stainless steel and aging in French oak barrels. The red wines, predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, are known for their complexity and longevity. This is a classic example of the vintage, with some great recent notes on CellarTracker proving it is still going strong and is an incredible deal from this legendary vintage.
