A Late disgorgement from Diebolt-Vallois, the 2004 Blanc de Blancs has spent almost 16 years on the lees. The Blanc de Blanc Millesime has always been a fantastic buy from Diebolt-Vallois, and with the extra time on the lees, it's a sensational and ready-to-drink bottle of Champagne. The Chardonnay for this Cuvee is from the crus Cuis, Chouilly, and Epernay, with young vines from Cramant, entirely vinified in stainless steel, and finished with a low dosage. Champagne expert Richard Juhlin has given accolades to this Cuvee in almost every vintage going back to 1959. While we don't think of 2004 when it comes to great Champagne vintage's, it's an outstanding effort from Diebolt where they have a knack for excelling in overlooked years. 2004 already ranked among the best bottles of this Cuvee, but with the extra time on the lees, it's quite frankly as good as their Tete de Cuvee Fleur de Passion at nearly half the price. An Incredible mineral-driven bottle of bubbles that is powerful yet elegant with an extraordinary level of complexity and refinement. We have some of the only bottles available in the US, and this is a rare opportunity to grab a beautifully aged Champagne right from the source. The 2004 Millesime a stunning Blanc de Blancs that we can't recommend enough.
