John Gilman 94 pts! The 2006 Roulot Perrières is an excellent wine in the making, as it is much cooler than either of the two preceding premier crus, and offers excellent depth and complexity. Could this have been the next to have been harvested after the Bouchères? The nose is a classy blend of apple blossoms, pears, tangerines, great stony minerality, almond paste and vanillin oak. As captivating as the bouquet is on this wine, it is also rather atypically developed and generous for a young vintage of Roulot Perrières. On the palate the wine is full, racy and ripe, with excellent structure, fine mid-palate depth, snappy acids and a very long, soil-driven finish. Just how long this will last will be interesting to see, but for now its equilibrium is lovely and the wine is a real charmer to drink. (Drink between 2007 - 2020)
