EFW 95 pts! Guy Larmadier 's Champagnes are very vineyard driven and incredible examples of the Chardonnay grape. Their Signe Francois 2008 exemplifies this perfectly. Sourced from their oldest vines, this spent five years on the lees before disgorgement. A great Grand Cru Cote de Blanc Champagne that is very mineral and saline driven, quite reminiscent to a Grand Cru Chablis with bubbles. Fantastic energy with brioche, stone fruit, and a surprising cherry note and a chalky finish. The fruit here is so pristine and pure; you would never know there was no dosage. We would score this Champagne 95 pts, and it has some helpful Cellartracker notes too. We were able to procure a few more cases of this beauty, it is one of the last 2008 grower Champagnes still available today.
