We love the Champagnes from Champagne Deutz, and their Millesime Rose is a real sleeper. The 2012 Rose MIllesime is a blend of 36% Chardonnay with 64% Pinot Noir, including 9% of red wine. We just had a late disgorged 1990 and it was flat out amazing. The Deutz Champagnes might not get the biggest scores on release since their style is somewhat restrained, but they age very well and with time in the bottle they can be awesome. The 2012 Rose MIllesime seems like a no brainer for the price quality!
Antonio Galloni 92 points! The 2012 Brut Rosé offers lovely depth to play off its mid-weight personality. Pale in color and deceptive in its medium-bodied feel, the 2012 delivers quite a bit of flavor intensity. Cranberry, white pepper, mint and floral notes add freshness to this persistent, beautifully balanced Champagne from Deutz. (Drink between 2017-2022)
