We just tasted this bottle, and it was incredible. Typically Paul Bara does a good job with this Champagne, but in the 2012 vintage, it is magical. A blend of 90 % Pinot Noir and 10% Chardonnay from 100% Grand Cru vineyards. This bottle spent six years on the lees and finished with a dosage 8 g/l. There are amazing aromatics of white peach, minerals, bread dough, and saline. On the palate, the bubbles are fine, power, tremendous underlying energy, and lift that buries your taste buds. The finish is long like a freight train, with salinity, linger stone fruits, and tons of dry extract. The dosage is deceiving here for it. I had to guess I would put it closer to 5g/l. This Champagne is a true testament to how great the 2012 vintage is.
