An excellent Blanc de Blancs from a famous Champagne house most noted for being Sir Winston Churchill's favorite producer. This is a blend of 100% Chardonnay from many Grand Cru villages in the Cote de Blancs; Oiry, Chouilly, Cramant, Avize, and Oger. Very focused and tactile, vibrant yet creamy with a delicate and powerful finish. A great effort for this vintage and a bottle that is drinking rather well now even after being released not long ago. An excellent buy for Blanc de Blancs and a Champagne that typically everyone enjoys.
Wine Advocate (William Kelley) 94 points! "Disgorged in March 2017, the 2012 Brut Blanc de Blancs is excellent, delivering a complex bouquet of warm pastry, dried white flowers, lemon oil and some smoky, gently reductive top notes. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, ample and fleshy, with a rich but precise core of fruit that reveals all the concentration of the vintage but is elegantly rendered, underpinned by tangy acids and concluding with a precise, chalky finish."
Wine Enthusiast (Roger Voss) 94 points! "This beautifully balanced wine aligns the tautness of the Chardonnay with swathes of rich apple and lime flavors. It is vibrant, still ripe with freshness and acidity. Drink now."
