2013 Dupont Tisserandot Vosne Romanee 1er Les Suchots

$99.99
2013 Dupont Tisserandot Vosne Romanee 1er Les Suchots
There was a time when Dupont-Tisserot was a hot spot for negociants looking to cash in on the Domaine's excellent holdings with names as big as Leroy even looking for a piece of the action. Those times have passed, and in the late 90s, Didier Chevillon assumed control and decided to bottle the production instead of selling it off. A decision that put the Domaine on the map for the connoisseur looking for wines from significant holdings that were not as demanding in price. In 2013 Faiveley made a full purchase of the Domaine and its holdings with the agreement of keeping the Dupont-Tisserandot label and the entire team on board, making 2012 the last vintage before the purchase. Les Suchots is a rare wine from Dupont-Tisserandot, and while most of their wines are from Domaine holdings, they don't own any Suchot but were able to purchase some fruit in the 2013 vintage to bottle one. The fruit came from an undisclosed top grower, and only a few barrels were made. Suchots is one of the great vineyards of Burgundy, located among giants, separating Echezeaux from Romanee St. Vivant. 2013 is a very elegant vintage that made pretty wines with energetic acids, focusing on beauty and grace with surprising longevity. These bottles of Suchots are coming directly from the Domaine, are in perfect condition, in a beautiful spot for drinking, and will continue to develop very well. A Top value for a classic Burgundy, this is textbook Vosne-Romanee, and we have the only bottles of this wine currently available in the world.
