2014 Domaine Michel Bregeon Muscadet Sevre et Maine Gorges$29.99
A top producer of sur lie wines Domaine Bregeon helped put Muscadet on the map. Former wine maker Andre-Michel wanted the world to know that Muscadet or, Melon de Bourgogne as it is locally called, was much more then table wine. These are world class wines capable of aging and are made with traditional methods like hand harvesting and the use of natural yeast. The 2014 Muscadet Gorges is just been released it spent 60 months in large old foudre on the lees. There is an amazing depth, and richness not typically found in Muscadet, yet has a whiplash of a finish from the wine’s zesty acidity. This is profound bottle that can be enjoyed now but should age 3 to 5 more years easy. We thought this would be a fun offer since we have not offered any Muscadet in quite a while!
