2014 Louis Jadot Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Feusselottes

$89.99
2014 Louis Jadot Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Feusselottes

We love this vineyard and are excited to get a few cases of this red Burgundy right from Louis Jadot cellars. This is a Domaine-owned premier cru that sits below the village of Chambolle Musigny. The soil is made of chalk and clay with many hard stones. Feusselottes means little holes, little cavities. We tasted a bottle late last year and were impressed with the weight that the wine put on in the bottle. There is a lovely sense of place with gorgeous red flowers, red and blue fruits, liquid minerals, a delicate touch of earth, lovely length, and tons of dry extract on the finish. As far as Premier Cru goes with age, this is as good a deal from the Cote de Nuits as we have found in the last year. This is an lovely bottle to drink over the next decade and, compared to the Mugneret sister's version, an absolute steal!

Burghound  A notably more elegant and relatively high-toned nose offers up notes of red currant, pomegranate and rose petal. The intense, racy and beautifully well-detailed medium weight flavors exhibit much more minerality on the dusty, focused and balanced finish that is notably more refined. Lovely. (Drink starting 2022
