An excellent bottle with age, the Les St Georges from Jadot is an excellent buy, and at pricing lower than the current release, it's definitely one to consider. Les St. Georges is considered the top vineyard in Nuits St. Georges, the first to gain premier cru status, and one of the rarer finds in the Jadot portfolio. This site produces structured, age-worthy wines, and in 2014, it showed vibrant red fruit, earthy depth, and mineral tension with a firm, elegant finish. While 2014 was a bit overshadowed by the more showy and powerful '15s, '14 is a more classically styled vintage with excellent structure and freshness that needed 10+ years in the bottle before it could truly be enjoyed. This is a great buy for a ready-to-drink red burgundy, and all the cellar time has already been done for you, though this has the structure to go for much longer in the cellar. These bottles are in perfect condition, and considering their age and the quality of the wine, it's a fantastic buy for the category that we think our clients are going to love. Just a few cases are available, so dont miss out!
Burghound 90-93 points! "This is really quite pretty aromatically with a perfumed red and dark cherry infused nose that offers up additional notes of earth and spice tones trimmed in more discreet wood. There is good verve to the intense medium weight flavors that possess fine detail on the surprisingly suave, focused and balanced finish. This isn't as powerful or concentrated as the Vaucrains but it's notably more refined. While these two wines possess similar quality, they are clearly very different. (Drink starting 2026)"
