This 85-hectare estate is located in Graves, famous for its heavy gravel soils; here, the vines are sustainably farmed, emphasizing biodiversity, with flowers, plants, and wildlife surrounding the various plots. The vines here are 30 years old on average, with a final blend for 2015 coming to 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc, and 5% Petit Verdot. Fermentation takes place in a mixture of concrete and stainless steel to preserve the freshness and aromatic expression, with the perfect amount of French Oak in the form of giant vats to bring more complexity and roundness. 2015 is a great Bordeaux and is one of the top vintages for Chateau de Fieuzal of all time.
