Here we have the next vintage of a client and personal favorite Special Club champagne. I don't believe there's been a vintage of this that wasn't firing on all cylinders and the 2015 version is following its predecessors’ glory. As per usual this is already receiving its due hype. A Pinot Noir dominate blend from a selection of some of his best parcels from Mareuil-sr-Aÿ, Aÿ, Oiry, and Chouilly from a single vintage. 2015 could be a considered a sleeping giant and as Galloni stated in an article after vins clairs tastings that the vintage has exceptional balance and outstanding quality while it may be too early to tell if it will be a historic vintage, it is of tete de cuvee and millesime bottling quality which is what we are seeing here. This is one of the first offers of this in the US so be the first to jump in and take advantage of the quantity discount.
Wine Advocate (William Kelley) 94+ points! "Hébrart produced around 10,000 bottles of his 2015 Brut Premier Cru Special Club, a lovely wine that offers up inviting aromas of fresh pear, warm bread, cassis, white flowers and mango. On the palate, it's full-bodied, rich and concentrated, with real depth and concentration at the core, chewy structuring extract and lively acids, concluding with a long and precise finish. Tasted from a non-commercial early trial disgorgement, this appears to be a serious Special Club that will reward bottle age in the making."
