We have a little bit more of this best buy red burgundy 1er Cru. The wines from Santenay are an excellent source for Burgundy values while still showing a sense of place and complexity. The Morey's portion of Beaurepaire was planted in 1972 with a bit of replanting in 2008, producing a delicious wine with a dense core of red and black fruits with notes of violets and underbrush. The palate is juicy but balanced with structured tannins and moderate acidity with wonderfully bright fruit that lingers on the finish. Lush and intense 2015 is drinking beautifully with the fruit to make it a perfect crossover wine for those that drink more Pinot Noir from Oregon or California while still appealing to the European styled palate. The 2015 vintage was spectacular for Burgundy, and the Beaurepaire is drinking excellently right now and is a top value for 1er cru red Burgundy. These bottles are all ex-Domaine and are the only bottles of the '15 vintage currently available in the USA, so we highly recommend grabbing a bottle or two because after this we won't be able to get any more.
