One of the best deals from Napa we have ever had, we were able to get more of this fantastic wine. The 2016 Galerie is an incredible value and drinks like a much more expensive bottle than the price tag would suggest from sourced from a few highly regarded Cabernet Sauvignon Vineyards and made with the expertise of Lokoya's assistant winemaker who has since left the winery to work on this project. We have special pricing here rivaling Lokoya's version at a fraction of the price.

As many of you know, we don't typically offer many domestic Cabernet Sauvignons, but this one was too good to pass up. We tasted this yesterday and were really impressed; it is fantastic and drinking very well right now. This wine was a special project for Laura Diaz-Munoz, former assistant winemaker at Lokoya Winery. The fruit was sourced from some of the top Cabernet vineyards in Napa, including Stagecoach, Red Hen, Van Z, Gaskin, Bosche, and Spring Mountain. The Pleinair is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon and is made much like the Lokoya wines seeing 19 months in French Oak, of which about 70% are new barrels. The wine is unfined and unfiltered, coming in at a modest alcohol percentage. The 2016 vintage was a great one for the Napa Valley, and this wine holds its own with some heavy-hitting California Cabernets at a fraction of this price. We think Jeb Dunnuck's review is spot on, and deals like this don't come around too often, so this is a good one to back up the truck and get a few bottles.
