2016 Louis Jadot Bourgogne Blanc$12.99
Due to no restaurant business, suppliers are marking down wines that are typically glass pours. This is the best deal we have come across so far and from a great address in Burgundy. The 2016 Louis Jadot Bourgogne Blanc is sourced from Chardonnay in the Cote Chalonnaise, Maconnais, and the Cote de Beaune. Yields in 2016 were quite small, so the resulting fruit was very concentrated, and his wine has a lot of depth and richness for a wine at this price point. It's still quite fresh with aromas apple, white flowers, citrus, and a touch of spice. On the palate, the apple, citrus fruit dominates with excellent minerality and a pretty darn long finish. This is the ultimate white Burgundy cellar saver, and if you don't finish the bottle the first night, it should last a second, or you can add the wine to your favorite recipe since we are all eating at home now.
