The vines here were only about 25 years old at the time and planted on Brown\/Mica schists. Always hand-harvested and sorted, it saw 100% whole clusters with native yeast fermentation before aging for 26 months in 20% new oak. This is a structured and powerful wine with fantastic complexity and depth elegantly woven together. The 2016 vintage was quite lovely for Côte-Rôtie, and this wine is a beauty that is showing well now at 10 but will continue to age. It needs 2-4 years of bottle age but will keep for two decades.
