A staple address for us in Chassagne Montrachet, the Morey-Coffinet wines have been longtime favorites and are always very elegant, refined White Burgundies. We would say they are a Chassagne producer with a Puligny touch. Their holdings are across all three of the significant appellations with choice crus in Chassagne, Puligny, and Meursault, along with some Grand Crus. The vines here for the Cailleret were planted between 1985 and 1990 and were certified as biodynamic in 2015. Fermentation is done with natural yeasts in barrel, with 35% being new. En Cailleret is a classic bottle from one of the best vineyards in Chassagne-Montrachet.

Otherwise there is a notably finer mouth feel to the sleek, mineral-inflected and delicious flavors that possess a completely different texture, all wrapped in a balanced and sneaky long finish that slowly fans out as it sits on the palate. Lovely."
