2017 Pierre Bourée Fils Meursault 1er Cru Les Perrières

$79.99
2017 Pierre Bourée Fils Meursault 1er Cru Les Perrières
We have a small reload of this excellent buy from Pierre Bouree, such a fantastic vintage and vineyard. The 2017s white Burgundys are exceptional and to get a bottle of Perriers at this pricing is most welcome. As we have mentioned before, we have lots of experience with the wines from Bouree and the 2017 vintage. With 2019s at crazy pricing and 2018 being a bit too powerful for some, 2017 is the vintage to buy.

See our original offer below.
The wines from Pierre Bouree are very rare here in the USA, if you are lucky, you might find a random bottle here or there, but for the most part, these seldom make it ashore. We have had the pleasure of tasting at the Domaine many years ago, becoming one of our first direct imports. As many might remember, we had many back vintages a few years ago from Bouree that were incredible and solidified our love for these wines. Pierre Bouree's production is mainly red, being based in Gevrey-Chambertin. Still, they make a very limited amount of a few lovely White Burgundy's, and at the top of the list is one of our favorite Meursault vineyards, Les Perrieres. This is not a wine that Pierre Bouree makes every year, and John Gilman has reported there being only a single barrel in the cellar some vintages if they do make it. Winemaking here is traditional, hand-harvesting with an intense selection before pressing and transferring to 30% new oak. The wine goes through fermentation with wild yeasts and spends around 19 months in the barrel before bottling. Excellent Meursault Perriers from a classic vintage like 2017 could cost twice the price as this bottle, which is why the wines here are so attractive. Classic, high-quality Burgundy at a very friendly price, this is an insider Burgundy buy not to pass up and the only bottles available in the world!
