We have been getting tons of back vintage offers lately, so here is another one from Nuits St. Georges's finest. The 2017s from Chevillon were great, classic wines, and the 2017 Les Cailles is a perfect representation of the vineyard. This is sourced from an old vine parcel and shows impressive complexity, depth, and structure; only getting better with the extra time in the bottle. No one makes a better version of Les Cailles than Chevillon, and it is one of the top wines from the Domaine that usually doesn't fetch as high of a price. We have a limited amount available at this incredible pricing, so don't miss this special deal.
Decanter (Tim Atkin) 95 points! "Les Cailles is one of the Chevillon brothers' best parcels, planted in the 1930s on a stony site next to Les St-Georges. It's an impressive red showing stony minerality, some vanilla spice and more underlying tannin than you think at first. The acidity drives the finish of the wine."
John Gilman 94+ points! "The 2017 les Cailles from Bertrand Chevillon is a stunning wine in the making. The already quite beautiful bouquet delivers a superb and absolutely classic blend of cherries, plums, raw cocoa, a very complex base of minerality, gamebird, woodsmoke and vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, pure and properly reserved out of the blocks, with a great core of sappy fruit, beautiful soil signature, ripe, seamless tannins and great length and grip on the focused, perfectly balanced and oh, so promising finish. All this great wine needs is time in the cellar to fully blossom!"
