2017 Saumaize Michelin Pouilly Fuisse 'Clos sur la Roche'

$36.99
2017 Saumaize Michelin Pouilly Fuisse 'Clos sur la Roche'
USA low pricing a limited amount in stock!
A great white Burgundy vintage where the growers in the lesser communes have made outstanding wines. This is potentially the white Burgundy of the vintage from the Maconnais. This wine possesses the complete package, and is better than a-lot of Cote de Beaune villages wines. Last chance here don't miss it!
Our Original offer:
We have been enjoying these wines for years, and happy to see this house is getting the press it deserves. These wines have incredible power, depth, and refinement. This wine rivals the white Burgundies produced by the neighbors to the north in the Cote de Beaune. Actually poured blind in a white Burgundy tasting this wine would out class wines at twice the price. One of the best wines ever to come out of the Maconnais, and you don’t have to a rock star to afford it!

Vinous (Neil Martin) 94 points! The 2017 Pouilly-Fuissé Clos Sur La Roche is Saumaize-Michelin’s flagship cuvée. It boasts riveting complexity on the nose of white peach, honeysuckle, crushed gravel and a faint hazelnut aroma. The palate is very well balanced with a fine bead of acidity, showing real tension from start to finish. The saline finish is bursting with energy. Persistent and intense, this is a really stunning Pouilly-Fuissé that will age with style. (Drink between 2021-2037)
