We recently received a few sample bottles from Vincent Wine Company and were very impressed by the 2017 Zenith Pinot Noir. Planted in 2006 with a Pommard clone, the zenith vineyard calls the heart of Oregon's Eola Hills home. The vineyard is farmed sustainably with minimal intervention to promote healthy, expressive fruit. After destemming and pressing, the grapes spend three weeks on the skins before aging in young and old Burgundy barrels for eighteen months. The Zenith has a great depth of fruit and intensity, with black cherries, spice, and wild herbs. The bottle is wound with a masculine edge but is also extremely elegant, balanced, and structured. The 2017 Zenith Pinot Noir is the best bottle we have ever tried from Vincent and comes highly recommended.
