This isn't something we offer very often, Bordeaux Blanc can be a little fickle at times, one is either shelling out for a great bottle or dumping a value bottle down the drain. The middle ground can be difficult to find, which is why this is a breath of fresh air. We just tasted this earlier this week and were blown away by how good for how relatively inexpensive it is. The Estate is ran by couple, Mylène and Guillaume Guennec, who took over in 2010 after working at Castenet since 2001. They have made efforts to push to a more sustainable approach and have acquired an environmental certification from HVE in tandem with organic practices. This integrity in the vineyard carries over to the wine which is very bright and zippy blend of 65% Sauvignon Blanc, 20% Muscadelle, and 15% Semillon. The fruit is perfectly ripe and shows wonderful acidity without losing its balance; fresh with great attack and salinity. This wine screams summer drinking which is why I’m grabbing a few myself because sometimes that’s just what a warm day calls for. You won't find this anywhere else as we are one of the first to have access to this wine, which will be arriving in stock next week. A great bottle for the money!
