We just tasted this a few days ago and loved how classic this is, and it would be hard not to guess this as Cote de Nuit Burgundy. Belle Vue comes from a single parcel in Comblanchien, just south of Nuits St. Georges. There is a lovely core of cool red cherry and raspberry, with violets, bramble bush, spice, and soil notes. The palate has a freshness that livens up the fruit and gives energy to the wine while letting some of the mineral tones come through with supportive yet fine tannins. 2018 is drinking well now and has excellent balance, while the ripeness of the vintage is unnoticed here thanks to some proper picking. Pretty, high-quality juice with a good sense of place compared to other wines at this level and is worth a look.
