This is a blend of purchased fruit from Petits Monts, Malconsorts and Chaumes, so its pedigree is indisputable and the wine is fully worthy of its roots, offering up a superb bouquet of black plums, black raspberries, raw cocoa, duck, a touch of sweet hazelnut, dark soil tones and vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied and shows off excellent mid-palate depth, with fine backend mineral drive, ripe, buried tannins and lovely length and grip on the nascently complex finish.
