I had the fortune to taste this wine at a restaurant in Napa last week. The meal was pretty crappy, but the wine was excellent. This is one of the most elegant and refined examples I have tasted from this great premier cru vineyard. Aromas of white flowers, citrus, minerals gave way to such a beautiful and sophisticated palate. The salinity this wine possesses is quite dazzling. You can taste the ocean that once flooded this vineyard. This Domaine is on an incredible roll and is one of the few excellent premier cru Chablis you can still find under the $30 price point. Don’t miss it!
Burghound 90-92 pts! A more classic nose features notes of smoky mineral reduction, citrus, oyster shell, and ocean breeze nuances. The mouth feel of the middle weight flavors is noticeably finer and with a bit more minerality as well on the bone dry and sneaky long finale. Lovely.
