A few cases remain of this excellent rare cru from Pinson, who has over the years impressed us with their attention to detail in and out of the cellar showcasing some of the great vineyards of Chablis. 2019 is a superb effort showing beautiful complexity and elegance and should continue to get better with time. A great bottle for the MDT fans out there.

A strong buy from this top premier cru vineyard sourced from 40-year-old vines. Pinson's parcel is situated in prime spot and is considered one of the best locations in the vineyard. Charlene and Laurent have been making classic Chablis as the next generation of Pinson and are doing the family name justice. Tons of work goes into the farming of this vineyard as Pinson chooses to work sustainably without chemicals. Fermentation is completed in one part oak and one part stainless steel tank adding complexity to the wine. 2019 in Chablis falls somewhere between the 2017s and 2018s stylistically with higher acidity, excellent ripeness, and from a smaller crop. We have really enjoyed the last few vintages of Pinson's MDT, and the 2019 vintage should be an absolute knockout from this winemaking duo stacking up as one of their best vintages thus far.
Allen Meadows 92 points! "This too is aromatically quite cool with a more elegant array of citrus, sea breeze and a pretty variety of floral elements. The sleek, intense and classy medium weight flavors possess evident minerality on the unusually powerful finish that exhibits fine length. This could use a bit more depth, but the underlying material appears up to the task of developing more in time"
