2019 Famile Thomas Sancerre Les Creots$19.99
This is a gorgeous Sancerre from a Domaine that was established in 1670. Their vineyards are in the tiny hamlet of Verdigny, and they have been working the vineyards organically for years. The 2019 vintage marks the inaugural vintage where the vines were converted to bio-dynamic viticulture. This wine is vinified in the tank and then left on the lees for extended aging and batonnage for about six months. Aromas of gooseberries, citrus, dried herb, minerals jump from the glass. The palate is very clean and pure with good richness, depth, and complexity with lingering notes of apple skin, citrus, saline, and minerality. There is a lot of wine here and it's become very difficult to find very good Sancerre's under $20 anymore. Highly recommended!
