2019 Hudelot Bailet Chambolle Musigny les Charmes

$109.99
2019 Hudelot Bailet Chambolle Musigny les Charmes

We have a small reload on this breakout release from Chambolle Musigny's Hudelot Baillet. The Charmes is one of the top premier cru buys of the vintage for the price quality. Hudelot Baillet is a very impressive, somewhat unknown producer, but the wine speaks for itself, and this is some of the best pricing on Chambolle Charmes of the vintage. This is a not-to-miss wine from a producer to keep an eye on in future vintages. We have some of the only bottles available in the USA at great pricing, but quantity is limited, so don't miss out!

See our original offer below.

While we are kicking ourselves for not knowing about Hudelot-Baillet sooner, it's always fun to get acquainted with a new producer during a highly acclaimed vintage. A Chambolle-Musigny native with all his holdings located within the confines of the village, Joel Hudelot and his wife Chantal Baillet created Domaine Hudelot-Baillet in 1981. Retiring in 2004, Joel passed the Domaine on to his son-in-law Dominique, who started working for the family in the late 90s. Dominique has elevated the Domaine to another level, and now all eyes are on this rising star producer. These are spot-on Chambolle-Musigny with incredible purity and elegance. 2019 is a breakout vintage for this address, with Neil Martin scoring Hudelot-Baillet's versions over Ghislaine Barthod's Les Charmes at a fraction of the cost. We have a limited amount of 2019 Chambolle Charmes, the only bottles available in the USA. 2019 is a tremendous vintage to familiarize with Hudelot-Baillet and is a domine to buy now before more catch wind. Do not miss these!

Vinous (Neil Martin) 93-95 points! "The 2019 Chambolle-Musigny Les Charmes 1er Cru has a crisp, delineated bouquet of mineral-rich blackberry and boysenberry fruit displaying wonderful tension and focus. The palate is tensile right from the start, offering succulent black fruit, a silky-smooth texture and an intense, blood-orange-infused finish. Plenty of energy here. This should turn into a superb Chambolle-Musigny."
