2019 Jobard-Morey Meursault 1er Cru Charmes ETA June 2021

$89.99
2019 Jobard-Morey Meursault 1er Cru Charmes ETA June 2021
We have offered a few back vintages from Jobard-Morey, and we are finally able to provide a new release. Jobard-Morey works a mere 6 hectares spread over some of Meursault's finest vineyards. The name Jobard-Morey is an easily recognizable one, and winemaker Valentin Jobard is the cousin of Antoine and Remi Jobard. Valentin's Grandmother was Bernard Morey's sister and married a Jobard after WWII, which is how this Domaine started. Valentin believes his grandfather worked with Francois Jobard, which influenced his winemaking style that Valentin still is committed to producing. These are very close to Jobard in terms of quality and is one of the most underrated addresses in Burgundy right now. The Charmes here is a fantastic value and is on average $50-60 less than his cousin's wines. This is not a bottle to miss, and we have the only bottles of any vintage available in the USA right now.

Wine Advocate (William Kelley) 93+ points! "The most serious and structured wine in the range is the 2019 Meursault 1er Cru Charmes, a promising wine that unwinds in the glass with notes of orange oil, peach, buttered orchard fruit and fresh pastry. Medium to full-bodied, rich and muscular, it's broad-shouldered and fleshy, with tangy acids and a saline, aromatic finish."
