We were able to get another lot of the 2019 Produttori at our original low-release pricing. 2019 is another excellent addition to the history of Produttori's Barbaresco and a great example of the Barbaresco Normale. Produttori makes an expressive and complex Barbaresco that gives a beautiful glimpse of the vintage made from many of the incredible single vineyards of the estate. These are typically some of our top-selling Italian wines in any given vintage, and 2019 is another excellent effort that has the potential to outdo the past few vintages.
2019 was much more ideal than 2018 and is a much more classic vintage. Though the beginning of the growing season was wet, it hydrated the soils for the hot summer ahead, closing with a fairly severe hailstorm that mainly cut yields in Barbaresco; the wines turned out exceptionally well.
The Barbaresco Normale from Produttori is a beautiful snapshot of their production for the vintage and the first wine to be released. The 2019 should have excellent proportions of fruit and acidity with excellent structure and complex expression, and we have a limited amount at this low pricing, so don't miss it!
