Our original favorite Corsican, Domaine Comte Abbatucci, makes one of the best roses throughout Europe, and this is one of the few that can compete with Tempier's benchmark Bandol Rose. A Corsican dream, dynamic, complex, and with enough structure to bury for a bit of time in the cellar. It is made from 100% biodynamic Sciaccarellu farmed by the island's iconoclastic leader, Jean-Charles Abbatucci. A rose brimming with minerality and depth that is discretely built into a refreshing core. We have two rose staples from the island, Marquiliani's feminine, delicate version and Abbatucci's more structured, mineral-driven style but no less airy and buoyant. One of the more exciting producers in the wine world, a historian, propagator of near-extinct varietals, and one that runs his poly-culture farm with such passion and tenacity. The Rose, in particular, has become very allocated, and we will only be getting 72 bottles this year, so don't miss out!
