2020 Coudert Fleurie Clos de la Roilette Cuvée Tardive

$19.99
2020 Coudert Fleurie Clos de la Roilette Cuvée Tardive
We weren't lying when we said this is one of the Best Buys for Beaujolais in 2020, so with William Kelley's new score released just a few days ago, we picked up a few more cases just for the occasion. The Cuvee Tardive is a serious bottle of Beaujolais coming from very old vines that Neighbor one of the Regions' great vineyards. We have great pricing on some of the only bottles available in the US right now, and the new score proves that this is a not-to-miss Beaujolais and incredible value for Red Wine.

See our original offer below.

Another fantastic vintage from Clos Roilette, providing exceptional values for very serious wines. This vineyard is in Fleurie boarders Moulin-a-Vent producing a unique terroir composition and very expressive wines. Unlike the standard bottling of Clos de la Roilette, the Cuvee tardive sees the estate's oldest vines, averaging 80 years old and giving it that extra edge of depth and structure. This is Beaujolais to be enjoyed later, which is why it is called tardive, not because it is from late-harvested fruit with the potential to age for years. 2020 is a low-yielding, modestly ripe vintage with the potential to be one of their top wines ever. The Cuvee Tardive has been the best buy in Beaujolais for years running, and 2020 is no different. We have some of the only bottles available in the USA and the only large format bottles available now. A vintage not to miss for one of the most outstanding values in Beaujolais, and in these large formats perfect for a holiday gathering or group get together. We also have some magnums and 3 liters available, which can be purchased using the links below.

Wine Advocate (William Kelley) 93+ points! "Richer and more structured than the regular bottling, Coudert's 2020 Fleurie Cuvée Tardive delivers notes of cherries, mulberries, licorice and spices complemented by pretty hints of peony. Medium to full-bodied, velvety and concentrated, it's layered and seamless, with a deep core of fruit and rich, powdery tannins. Despite its broad shoulders, it remains energetic."
