2020 Eduardo Pena Castrelo De Mino Ribeiro Blanco

$20.99
2020 Eduardo Pena Castrelo De Mino Ribeiro Blanco
The 2020 Castrelo De Mino Ribeiro Blanco from Edouard Pena is another genuinely fantastic Spanish white wine from Riberia Galicia. We tasted this wine in the company of some big hitters that were 4x the price, and this was surprisingly our favorite wine of the tasting. A blend of 50% Triexadura, 20 % Albarino, 20% Godello, 10% Loureira, this is aromatically one of the most profound whites we have come across at this pricing with aromatics translating on the palate with great inter-mouth perfume. The palate has extraordinary layers with excellent length and vibrance, getting our highest recommendation. See our tasting note is below.
Pale yellow with golden highlights. The complexity, intensity, and quality of primary aromas are subtle, elegant, and very intense, with notes of citrus, orange blossom, pineapple, mango, peach, apricot, and bay leaves. There is also incredible inner-mouth perfume, something we often find from the Triexadura grape. The finish is long and vibrant, with lots of dry extracts and some salinity. Wow!
