2020 is one of the best examples of this wine from Jadot and is a more classic vintage for White Burgundy and the basis for this excellent premier cru. The Puligny Crus can be rare finds from Jadot and are typically only imported in small quantities, and right now, these are some of the only bottles from any vintage available in the USA. One of our favorite white wines from Jadot, this is a serious rare bottle that is up there with some of the best examples of Pucelles of the vintage, and we have low pricing here on a few cases.
Vinous (Neal Martin) 92-94 pts! "The 2020 Puligny-Montrachet Les Pucelles 1er Cru has the most complex bouquet among Jadot’s Premier Crus from this appellation, finely chiselled and focused. The palate is well balanced, citric and taut, yet it gains weight towards the finish The oak here is nicely integrated with a cutting spicy finish that lingers in the mouth for 45 seconds afterwards. Burghound 91-94 pts! "The hallmark notes of honeysuckle are present on the aromas of apple compote, acacia and vaguely exotic orange and tangerine peel. The nicely sleek, rich and beautifully textured medium weight flavors also possess a highly sophisticated mouthfeel while delivering fine depth and persistence on the tightly wound and built-to-age finale.
