Vinous (Neil Martin) 92-94pts! The 2020 Chassagne Montrachet Morgeot, 1er Cru (Marquis de Laguiche) has a slightly more tropical influenced bouquet compared to the Clos des Mouches Blanc, with passion fruit, nectarine and peach skin aromas. The palate is well balanced with hints of apricot and orange rind on the entry, a fine bead of acidity with ample depth and vigour on the finish. Superb. (Drink between 2023 - 2038)
Burghound 91-93 pts! A deft application of wood frames the overtly floral-suffused nose of petrol, white peach, lemon zest and subtle spice wisps. The medium-bodied flavors are also rich to the point of opulence, yet the firm acid spine saves the balance on the saliva-inducing, long and powerful finish. This fine effort is very Morgeot in character and worth a look. (Drink starting 2028)
