2021 Big Table Farm Laughing Pig Rosé

$29.99
2021 Big Table Farm Laughing Pig Rosé
Easily one of the best examples of Domestic rose, Big Table Farm is one of our favorite Oregon wineries. Their careful, small-scale, and sustainable approach is something many could learn from and the source of some of the most amazing Domestic Pinot's and Chardonnays. The current release of rose is as good as any rose made from Pinot Noir we have ever tasted. Serious and deep in color, this is as much red wine as Rose. This is made using direct pressed fruit, placed on top of whole berries left to soak and slowly ferment and gain color before it is pressed and transferred to neutral barrels. The Laughing Pig is always fermented dry, undergoes malolactic fermentation, and never filtered. Loads of red fruits, orange zest, and flowers give way to a fresh yet intense Rose with fresh red fruits on the palate with nuances of apricot, cranberry, and liquid minerals. This is not a cheap summer quaff but a serious Rose on par with some of the best Burgundian examples. An excellent Rose to be enjoyed with something like charcuterie on a warmer day. The wines from Big Table Farm have become very limited and we were only able to get 48 bottles of this one so don't miss out.
