2021 Weinkeller Aigner Grüner Veltliner Sandgrube Kremstal Eta 7-6-2023

$18.99
2021 Weinkeller Aigner Grüner Veltliner Sandgrube Kremstal Eta 7-6-2023
This is our first offer of Weingut Ainger, an esteemed Austrian winemaker in its 9th generation of family ownership dedicated to permeating the world of fine wines. Nestled amidst the breathtaking landscapes of Austria's renowned wine region, this family-owned winery has been crafting exceptional wines for generations. With a profound respect for tradition and an unwavering commitment to quality, Weingut Ainger cultivates and harvests grapes with meticulous care focusing on high-quality Gruner Veltliner, resulting in wines that embody the region's unique terroir in the Krems Valley located within Wachau, Austria's premier wine growing region.
We recently tasted the 2021 Gruner from Ainger and were very impressed, especially at this price point. Gruner can be a bit boring, but this was anything but and showed fantastic floral, yellow fruit, orchard fruit, and mineral aromas. The palate has vibrant acidity giving fantastic energy and lift to the focus to the cool citrus flavors. Excellent length, and what it lacks in complexity, it makes up for with Harmony and is an exceptionally crafted Gruner. A top white wine value if you enjoy dry Riesling or Chablis, this is another high-acid white wine that we highly recommend, and at this low pricing, it is hard to go wrong.
