One of the top addresses in Chassagne-Montrachet, the wines of Bernard Moreau have been among the favorites of the appellation for many years, and we were able to get a late release of the fantastic Chassagne-Montrachet AC, which is always one of the top buys here at this special low price today. Alex Moreau has been making the wines at his family's domaine for many years, but in 2021 decided to relabel them under his name. While the label has changed, the wines have not, and these are the same wines that we have all come to love. 2022 is an excellent example of the Chassagne AC and is a contender for one of the best of all time, and easily one of the top buys in the category this vintage. This is sourced from a few Domaine plots in Chassagne-Montrachet, with about 1/3 from in and around Les Masures (situated near Morgeot and Champgains), which gives the wines their minerality, and 2/3rds from the Chassagne-Puligny border, which contributes fruit and freshness. This is quite remarkable and one of the top examples of Moreau's Chassagne-Montrachet AC. A Nice note from JM, this has serious potential and is a fantastic buy for 2022 White Burgundy, not to miss at this low pricing!

The palate delivers its usual resounding success, a mass of pure white fruit which builds in intensity to the back and finishes with the lightest of toasty notes which is complementary. Excellent length. Not only is this really good, there are 100 barrels of it!"
