2022 Domaine de Marquiliani Corse Le rosé de Pauline 1.5L

$49.99
2022 Domaine de Marquiliani Corse Le rosé de Pauline 1.5L
One of our client's favorite Rose's next to Tempier, Marquiliani's Rose's are exceptional and among the best examples. This is an annual Rose offer for us, and the 2022 has just been released from the village of Aghione on the island of Corsica. Marquiliani is based in a 200-year-old winery that was burned down and abandoned until the Amalric family (current owners)revitalized the Domaine planting a few indigenous Italian varietals that are mainly grown on Corsica along with Syrah. All the vines used for these two cuvees were originally planted in 1964 and are still in use today.
The Pauline Rose is a blend of mostly Sciaccarellu (50%), an indigenous varietal, 40% Syrah, and 10% Vermentino. The Syrah for this Cuvee is from select parcels and undergoes a slow fermentation with a blocked malolactic fermentation giving, adding a level of surprising complexity.
