2022 Domaine de Marquiliani Rose de Gris 1.5L

$49.99
2022 Domaine de Marquiliani Rose de Gris 1.5L

One of our client's favorite Rose's next to Tempier, Marquiliani's Rose's are exceptional and among the best examples. This is an annual Rose offer for us, and the 2022 has just been released from the village of Aghione on the island of Corsica. Marquiliani is based in a 200-year-old winery that was burned down and abandoned until the Amalric family (current owners)revitalized the Domaine planting a few indigenous Italian varietals that are mainly grown on Corsica along with Syrah. All the vines used for these two cuvees were originally planted in 1964 and are still in use today

The Gris is a blend of 95% Siaccarellu and 5% Syrah which does go through malolactic fermentation and is incredibly nuanced. Marquiliani's Rose's are ethereal and, in a sense, haunting and resonating. They are delicate and profound, leaving one thinking in a state of enjoyment while they slowly open up in the glass, revealing significant depth. These are some of the \best at this price point, and over the past couple of years, they have become more tightly allocated, making it all the more desirable. The 2022s are another excellent vintage for these wines, and we received a small allocation this year, so please act quickly!
