Sourced from vines up to 80 years old, this has been the bar-setting bottle in Savigny for decades and is Pavelot's best wine once again. Pavelot states the fruit was a fantastic intersection of quality and quantity with 20%-30% whole clusters used. The 2022 Dominode checks all the boxes for what makes Red Burgundy so spectacular, and it does it at a very modest price point, outperforming wines that are double the price. We have low pricing here today on a limited amount, and it's one of the top buys of the vintage for premier cru Burgundy.

"This is at once the spiciest and the most floral-suffused nose in the range with its ripe yet ultra-fresh nose of various dark berries, anise and newly turned earth scents. The mouthfeel is also intriguing as it combines excellent density with an appealing sleekness that carries over to the mineral-driven, powerful and compact finale that is wonderfully persistent if very clearly built-to-age. This is almost always Pavelot's best wine and it is highly likely to be so in 2022 as well."
