We were able to get a bit more of this excellent example of En Remilly after previously selling out. 2022 is a fantastic vintage for this address, and Marc Colin created this estate in the 70s with his wife through holdings inherited by his family. Many of the vineyards he was granted had been in the family's possession for over a century, and like all of the Collins, they specialize in White Burgundy as natives of Chassagne Montrachet. Today, Marc's children, Damien and Caroline, run the estate, which now covers 12 hectares and 26 appellations. The En Remilly is a standout from Saint-Aubin and is one of the top vineyards in the appellation. The 2022 is a standout example from this domain and is one of the best of all time here. The Colins have multiple parcels in the vineyard, drawing aspects from the two main terroirs of En Remilly, giving a complete expression of the vineyard. We have low pricing today on a limited amount making it the best buy for En Remily this vintage!
Jasper Morris MW (Inside Burgundy) 92-94 points! "Two separate terroirs, the slope with a little clay topsoil, the plateau just the stones. This shows a little bit of both styles. Broader in the beam, some ripe apple fruits, a little tannic at the finish, fine wine that does not quite challenge the supremacy of En Montceau."
Vinous (Neil Martin) 91-93 points! "From five different plots and two different terroirs (plateau and the slopes), the 2022 Saint-Aubin En Remilly 1er Cru has a very compact bouquet unfurling with touches of white peach and chamomile, an underlying mineralité becoming more pronounced with time. The palate is well-balanced with a superb spine of acidity. It veers towards Chassagne in style with a hint of wild peach and tangerine towards the persistent finish. Excellent."
