This Chablis is an absolute blockbuster. The Geffroy family has been in the area since the 1800s. They now own 50 hectares of including some of the most significant holdings in Chablis. The Beauroy is from 40-to 55-year-old vines grown in Kimmeridgian limestone soil with due south exposure. The wine is, vinified in oak vats, then aged in oak, and tank. The fruit of the 2018 vintage is quite apparent coupled with an incredible expression of minerality, a solid core Meyer, lemon, Bear lime, and wet stones and perfectly balanced acidity and richness. This is extremely impressive juice and the best example we have ever tasted from this vineyard; thus, it gets our nob for the best buy in Chablis for the new year!
