Potinet-Ampeau has been one of the great sources for back vintage Burgundy, usually released in batches straight from their cellars. This Domaine has always focused on classic structure and longevity, which is why many of these wines are held back and released years later. While we have offered plenty of reds from Potinet-Ampeau in the past, this is our first time offering a white wine from this address. One of the most renowned vineyards in Meursault, Charmes is a favorite and usually has a hefty price tag, especially from the top producers. This is an excellent bottle for those that enjoy White Burgundy with age while also being price-conscious. 2002 was a lovely year for Chardonnay in Burgundy, and the Meursault Charmes is in a lovely spot for drinking and has two very nice recent notes on Cellartracker. As mentioned, these bottles are in perfect condition and are coming directly from the Domaine, which are some of the only bottles left in the world.
