N.V. Champagne Copinet Champagne Au Détour du Sézannais

$59.99
N.V. Champagne Copinet Champagne Au Détour du Sézannais
We have special discounted pricing today on these bottles from Copinet. Marie Copinet and her winemaker husband, Alexandre Kowal, run the show, creating wines that purely reflect their estate's terroir. The Copinet brand was founded in 1975 after Marie's father, who previously worked at Taittinger, acquired his first vineyards, briefly selling fruit to Moet Chandon. Today, the two have 9 hectares of vines spread throughout le Sézannais, la Côte des Bar, and la Vallée de la Marne. Vines, which average 30 years old, are tended with respect for the environment, and the House operates as green as possible, cultivating biodiversity in their vineyards to promote health further.
Copinet's Champagnes do not follow any recipe and are a blend of several vintages featuring a high proportion of reserve wines, extended aging, and a very low dosage. Champagnes are vinified in stainless steel and wood, with some stirring of the lees performed to build extra richness. This Blanc de Blancs is from a selection of the best grapes in the village of Villenauze de Grande, located in the Cote de Sezanne. Vinified in 300-liter barrels, it sees a 3-gram dosage. This is a richer yet more focused cuvee with incredible mineral purity.
